Portrait Style and Vision
I love people; I love to observe them, to be close to them and to make them happy. As a portrait photographer working in Essex it is my great pleasure to meet people from various backgrounds, with different customs and traditions.
My approach to portrait sessions is not a traditional approach. I always try to make them as fun and relaxed as possible! I don’t ever ask for fake smiles; I prefer to catch the natural, spontaneous emotions that tell the true story of a family. Capturing authentic interactions between family members is a great passion of mine.
To me, ‘family’ means two people in love, who have decided to spend the rest of their lives together actively working to make each other happy. (As I always tell my kids: Love is a verb!)
A family can also include children, and if you are like me then you cherish every moment you have with your children. They always grow up too fast and you want to engrave those moments of playfulness and innocence forever in your mind so that they will never disappear. Professional photography is one way for you to preserve their childhood, visually documenting your family’s story with images of authentic emotion that will be cherished for generations to come.
As a mother of five adorable, sweet and crazy kids, I have learned a lot of tricks. I can keep almost any child engaged during the photo session. I also have the patience needed to allow children to be themselves and in the perfect moment to shoot images that capture their genuine personalities.
A professional portrait session is a wonderful way of celebrating and immortalizing an important milestone in your life, whether it be an engagement, an anniversary, a birthday or even a new addition to your family (such as a baby, or a pet! J).
Or you may choose to have romantic portraits taken simply as a way of expressing your deep love for one another!
If you are considering having professional portraits taken, contact me; we can chat about your vision for your portraits and together we can decide if my style would be a good fit for your family.
