Today is Lucy and Harry’s wedding day photo celebration!
I had been expectantly anticipating their wedding day not just because I know them personally and had loved photographing their engagement session in Riddlesdown Common, but also because I knew how much planning they had put into their big day. Because of this planning, their special day had everything you would ever want in a wedding: a beautiful couple surrounded by loving family and friends, wonderful venues and a warm spring day in England – that last one was probably due to a lot of prayers from awesome people.
Their day was filled with personal touches, which is what I love most in a wedding. The embroidered heart, which Lucy carried in her wedding dress pocket, was made out of her mom’s wedding dress, which had originally been made by her own mum, Lucy’s Nannie. Family and friends were also involved in arranging the flowers, both at the church and at the reception venue. St Patrick’s Church in Wallington looked bright and happy and so did the beautiful Westerham Golf Club in Kent.
As a London-based wedding photographer, I am pretty spoiled with the amazing venues that I get to photograph. Not to mention the evergreen English landscapes!
For this wedding I also need to thank Sami from Green Antlers Photography. He was a brilliant helper and shooter and he made my day much more relaxed. So thank you, Sami, for being available and willing to help!
Lucy and Harry, thank you for entrusting me with your wedding day memories. It was a very special wedding and I am sooooo happy I was able to be there with you and to photograph it!
